Prologue- I'm 42 and in mediocre shape- I'm afraid of continuing down this road of gaining a few pounds a year and having a coronary at 55...!
I signed up for a triathalon in June and I'm a little intimidated- I want to be injury-free and this seems like the proverbial 'ounce of prevention' I need.
I need a kick in the pants to be excited about myself as an athlete and lets face it - if you don't look like one, it's hard to call yourself one.
Well, I got my p90x vids and books- I have my big-screen set up infront of my workout area- I am going to use some Ikea gymnastics rings as my chin-up bar...I hope it holds.
I have just got over a three-week flu, so already I dropped 5 lbs!- Although my strength is down a bit, I still plan to 'Bring It!" on Monday,(or pass out trying)
